About Us
Meya's Innovative Tutoring is dedicated to empowering young learners to become confident readers and writers. Founded in 2018, our tutoring services focus on building a strong foundation in literacy through evidence-based teaching methods. As highlighted in the article, “Phonological Awareness is Child’s Play!”, by Hallie Kay Yopp and Ruth Helen Yopp, mastering these skills is crucial for future success in reading and spelling. Semeerah Abdulqadir, our founder, is passionate about helping children overcome literacy challenges. With a background in education and experience teaching English as a second language in South Korea, where she honed her teaching skills and embraced the culture. She understands the importance of early literacy skills. Semeerah's commitment to closing the literacy gap is fueled by her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
